Windham Hill Wine Series 2008
Now in its sixth year, the Windham Hill Wine Series showcases this region for the first time. How it took this long is a wonder, since the magic that happens to the old world grape varietals is as unique as the special geography in this area, which morphs from the alluvial plains of Venice to the rolling hills of Verona and Garda to the Dolomites and Alps to the North. In particular, for those of you who like the comparative tasting experience, we are going to look at the development of winemaking as it relates to the Corvina and Gargenega grape varietals through the winemaking genius of Tomasso Bussola, a young and rising star of the international style of winemaking in the area. The troika of Bussola’s winesValpolicella Classico Superiore, Amarone della Valpolicella and Recioto della Valpolicella, form the centerpiece of the evening-serious wine and serious fun!! A full menu follows for your perusal. Please be sure and book early for what promises to be a great start to the Series for 2008!! Sante!! Dan and The Windham Hill Inn Team
